Octave key on the Alto sax isn't functioning?

Okay so today during class I noticed that I couldn't play anything higher than a high b. I wasn't really sure what was going on so I looked around and I saw that my octave key was messed up. It goes down when I press it but with some difficulty. I noticed at the top part " the neck" that it wasn't going up like it usually does: in fact it wasn't really moving at all. I hAve a major concert Saturday, it's not possible for me to take it to the shop because my mom was in a car crash and her cars unusable so I've basically been walking everywhere till it gets fixed which is next Monday, her car is the only source of transportation I have and all the shops ate way to far to even consider walking soo if anybody has any idea of how I could possibly fix this myself.
