My dad snores and has a lot of trouble sleeping.?

my dad snores and has a lot of trouble sleeping. I have done a little research and it looks like he has sleep apnea. The sleeping test is way to expensive and we don't have the money. Is there any other way to get a test or one of those sleeping machines because he has been like this for years now and it is really getting to him. I want to help him. Is there another way? a cheaper test?
