Did I missed my period and it is my pregnancy symptom? or it's my period?

i have never missed a period. and usually mine is heavy to moderate and this time...friday(21 jan) i had a very tiny red spot only once a day..then again saturday and then nothing sunday.... then monday a tiny and i mean tiny bit of red. then nothing... then a tissue full of blood on wednesday. what is this? my period was expected on 23rd january. I didn't experienced this in my entire history, we are also trying for a baby. Did I missed the period? Or it's my period?
