How much is stuff like a decent hotel room or meals in Brazil ?

I've never left the country before so dont know much about their currency...I do know if I bring $1,000 to spend out their it will give me 1,677 in their country not sure if that's a lot of money or enough even.....avg hotels here are like $50 cheapest and $100 for good...plus you can eat really cheap here if you have to $1-5 meal
