Spot bleeding turning into... something more?

I started the pill for the first time three weeks ago, and am using it to reschedule my period as well. At first I had no problem, but last Saturday I started having a lot of discharge, and then last Monday I started bleeding like I was on my period (this would have been the week of my period normally). I am still bleeding moderately, and my periods normally last only 6 days. At what point should I contact my GYN?
