What are some ways to keep hair straightened?

Get straightening creme. I got a relatively cheap one from Walgreens, and it's also a heat protectant. If you have heat protectant spray, put that all over your hair first. Then get a dab of the straightening creme (you don't need too much or your hair will be greasy; i'd say about nickel size if your hair is thick), and run it all through your hair. Then take another dab (this time a little less than a dime size) and put it JUST on the ends of your hair. Now for the straightening. Do it section by section, layer by layer, piece by piece. For each small chunk (I mean small; an inch wide at most at the roots), go over it once, then grab the piece again, like halfway down the strand, and re-straighten the ends DOWNWARDS. It's time-consuming, but if you do this on your entire head, it should give you PERFECTLY STRAIGHT hair. (: Also, you can use just a regular razor or, preferrably, and eyebrow-trimming razor to layer your fringe. Just trim it downwards in short, choppy motions and don't focus on anything but the ends. There's probably tons of videos on youtube, so I'd suggest checking there. (:
