What is the best cell phone company with a data plan?

I want to get the iphone 4. I am wondering weather verizon or att is the best choice. My dad is looking at sprints data plan and it seems to be cheaper. This is bad though because they do not have the iphone. I want to just stick with verizon. Will you please help me find reasons to do so? Or at least switch to att rather than sprint.
