I am about 6.5 weeks pregnant. I had cramping last week and went to the hospital. They gave me a trans-vaginal ultrasound but were unable to detect a heartbeat. My HCG test showed 33,000. That was last Thursday. I had another blood test done Monday and my levels were 58,000. So, my HCG levels almost doubled, but in 4 days rather than 2 like it is suppose to. Could my levels rise this much with a blighted ovum? My doctor does not seem to want to give me an answer to this question. I am not bleeding, but I am having some occasional mild cramping.
